You Can Help First and foremost...we need toys! We want to give the best possible to our kids at all times, so we prefer new toys, but toys that are clean and like new, with all parts intact are also great. If you have a reseller's license and can help us buy at wholesales costs, or if you're connected with a retailer who sells such items and can help us get donated items or discounted prices, please let us know. Every dollar we can save is a dollar that goes into another program. From wherever you are in the U.S., you can send us toys. We even have a wonderful trucking company in the Los Angeles area, Emerald Express, that for several years now has been shipping toys and school supplies to us from donors all over the country when the need arises. So, if you're in a location remote from Southern CA and the border, you can collect your toys and contact us when you're ready. We'll make arrangements for shipment. And if you're near us and the border, you can bring your toys with you on Caravan Day and join us to deliver in Mexico, or of course contact us to pick them up. The best, though, is for you to come with us to help deliver and experience the children firsthand. We've had people from all over the U.S. join us--we even had a woman from Scotland one year. So don't let distance be an issue... Several groups have collected trucks or trailers full of toys and then driven them cross county to be with us and deliver them on Caravan Day. Sonia Doi and her group in the Washington, DC area collect a large amount of toys every year and ship them to us. Folks from all over, cleaning out their kids' closets before Christmas, select the best of the outgrown toys and send/bring them along. So please help us in November and December to gather enough toys to really brighten these kids' Christmas. And not only the children in the colonias, but also children in El Cajon in the U.S. will be receiving toys this year through us and JCR Ministries. What kinds of toys work best? Look here.
