Toys That Work (Best)
Our kids in Mexico live in fairly remote locations: think dirt streets, in many cases dirt floors and no utilities. Relatively rugged toys without a lot of little parts work best. Basic guidlines:
• Toys that are new or in like-new condition
• Toys that don't require batteries
• Toys that don't require English language skills
Sports equipment like balls and bats, skateboards, etc are great, though harder to ship long distance. Action figures, toy cars and trucks, dolls, stuffed animals, make-up kits and "Polly Pocket"-type sets for girls are also great.
Toys that don't work well are puzzles, models, board games, etc. On the other hand, Lego-type sets, though they have a lot of parts are great. If you have any questions, just give us a call. |
