Children of The Americas
If the adults in a child's life are unreliable or unable to provide the security a child needs, then life can be pretty scary. Unfortunately, for many children who are at-risk, this is their day-to-day reality. In the U.S. there is more of a social safety net than in third world countries like Mexico, but in many cases, the lives of the children are not much improved. That's why Children of The Americas is intent on helping organizations like Olive Crest which provide shelter and foster care for these little ones.

Additionally, we're very interested in helping new organizations get off the ground that want to provide care for at-risk kids. So Children of The Americas has partnered with a group called LifeHouses, which is working to build a network of residential model shelters and temporary housing for at-risk mothers, mothers to be, and their children. Children of The Americas is acting as the "incubator" org for LifeHouses as we're doing with JCR Ministries in El Cajon in order to provide the non-profit umbrella for this new group and help it get the funding and resources needed to begin helping at-risk children.

Children of The Americas is also in dialog with other agencies such as Moses House in Victorville, CA and Toby's House in San Clemente, CA, both working in the same areas, to see how we may be able to help in the areas of fund and resource raising.
